Chipotle shared one of its most iconic recipes so you can recreate it at home

At Chipotle, guac is no longer extra. Well, sort of.

On April 23, the fast-casual chain finally revealed the magical recipe behind its guacamole, so fans can recreate it at home. Unsurprisingly, it calls for typical guac ingredients like Hass avocados, lime juice, cilantro, red onion, jalapeño and kosher salt.

Chipotle’s executive chef Chad Brauze, even took to Instagram Live to demonstrate three ways you can take the Chipotle guac up a notch. In addition to the O.G. Chipotle guac, there’s also Superfood Guac, the Extra-est Guac and Guac Ranch.

On Instagram, people expressed their excitement to try the recipe at home.

“Woo-hoo love me some chipotle guac, thanks for sharing, will definitely give it a go!” one person wrote.

“Thank you thank you thank you!!! I love Chipotle guac, I love chipotle overall!” another user added.

Once you’ve mastered the art of making Chipotle guac, make sure to take advantage of Chipotle’s free delivery through the rest of April. Between saving money on guacamole and no delivery fees, it’s basically like your burrito bowl is paying for itself!
