Kensington Palace shares sweet video of royal children thanking healthcare workers

The Royal Family is thanking the National Health Service (NHS) for all of the hard work and overtime that workers and volunteers have been putting in over the last few weeks.

On March 26, the Royal Family’s Twitter account announced that they would commemorate their appreciation by doing “Clap for Our Carers.”

The sentiment involved everyone across the UK simultaneously applauding health workers from wherever they were at 8 p.m.

Like many countries, the public has been asked to adhere to strict self-isolation to help the health workers fight the spread of the virus.

Kensington Palace’s Twitter — the official account for The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge — shared a sweet video of the three royal kids participating in the national honor.

“To all the doctors, nurses, carers, GPs, pharmacists, volunteers and other NHS staff working tirelessly to help those affected by #COVID19: thank you,” the caption read.

6-year-old Prince George, 4-year-old Princess Charlotte and 1-year-old Prince Louis are recorded applauding and smiling outside in the garden at Amner Hall. All three are dressed in blue, the color for NHS.

The Royal Family also shared a video of everyone at Windsor Castle — where Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip are staying — clapping as well.
