Wife of Papa John’s founder John Schnatter files for divorce

She’s Papa gone.

Papa John’s founder John Schnatter, who lost his pizza chain a year ago after getting caught using the N-word, now appears to have lost his marriage.

The pizza guy’s wife, Annette Cox, separated from Schnatter at the beginning of April and filed divorce papers in Kentucky on Thursday, according to the Louisville Courier Journal.

Cox, 59, said her 32-year marriage to the former pizza mogul has deteriorated irretrievably, according to the Courier Journal.

The couple has two grown children.

Schnatter, 57, dished some heavy criticism of his former chain in November, claiming he’d been devouring huge quantities of Papa John’s pizza and that it’s lost its luster.

“I’ve had over 40 pizzas in the last 30 days, and it’s not the same pizza,” Schnatter told Fox affiliate WDRB. “It’s not the same product. It just doesn’t taste as good.”
