Report: Prince Harry has a secret Instagram account and Meghan Markle used to slide into his DMs

Royals, they slide into each other’s DMs just like us!

At least, that’s what Meghan Markle did pre-Duchess of Sussex days. Before she became a member of the royal family (and had to give up a myriad of normal plebeian things, like social media), Markle was an active Instagram user…and reportedly used her account to direct message Prince Harry on his secret Insta profile.

According to royal correspondent Omid Scobie, before they were even an item, Markle and Harry were using the app to communicate. “A lot of their early days were spent DM-ing and texting back and forth,” Scobie told Royal Box via the Daily Express. So Prince Harry has a burner account (and now it’s our mission to figure out his handle).

Scobie said the two lovebirds used to use “a lot” of emojis and that Harry apparently loves them. He also said the Duke of Sussex still has these secret accounts for keeping tabs on the royal news coverage of him and his wife (not surprised, since we already know the duchess does too).

Best guesses on Prince Harry’s fave emoji? (We’re betting it’s the ginger one.)
