Bethenny Frankel’s ex-husband takes plea deal in stalking case

Bethenny Frankel's ex-husband took a deal Monday to dismiss charges he stalked and harassed the "Real Housewives of New York" star.

Jason Hoppy, Frankel’s 47-year-old ex, must stay out of trouble for six months and his case will be dismissed in Manhattan Criminal Court.

Hoppy, accused of peppering the 46-year-old "Skinny Girl" proprietor with aggressive texts and emails, had previously balked at offers to settle the case.

A past offer would have seen the charges wiped after a year. The reduced dismissal time was accepted Monday.

Assistant District Attorney Travis Wolf said Hoppy, who also appeared on the hit show, had no previous arrests and that "a portion of the communications pertained to the complainant's and defendant's custody agreement."

Frankel and Hoppy have a 7-year-old daughter, Bryn.

Frankel had reported ongoing harassment, beginning in August 2016. Hoppy refused to stop contacting the Bravo TV reality show stunner, prosecutors said.

Hoppy's lawyer Alex Spiro said Monday that Frankel's reports were scrutinized.

"It is clear from the trajectory of this case that her claims were not substantiated and credited and her motive was questioned," Spiro said.

"Mr. Hoppy is looking forward to moving on with his life."
