Prince Harry does his own grocery shopping

Prince Harry isn't a royal royal, he's a down-to-earth royal. You can catch him in Sainsbury's stocking up on baguettes and granola, or so we imagine his cart containing. We know he definitely does his own grocery shopping, since he mentioned this fun fact in a new interview with Newsweek. The prince said that when it comes to his daily life, he aims to keep things simple.

"People would be amazed by the ordinary life William and I live," he said. "I do my own shopping. Sometimes, when I come away from the meat counter in my local supermarket, I worry someone will snap me with their phone. But I am determined to have a relatively normal life, and if I am lucky enough to have children, they can have one too." Then, he added this zinger:

"Even if I was king, I would do my own shopping."

We know the Queen likes to ride around in her Range Rover, but grocery shopping? Well, she has ventured inside a supermarket before. She looked a little confused, though. "Self-checkout? What is a barcode?"

Harry even keeps things low-key on date night—although he calls in a few favors from time to time. He and girlfriend Meghan Markle have been photographed on their way to the theater, but he has also arranged for a special night at the museum. Per Newsweek, "More recently, he persuaded the Natural History Museum to stay open late one night so he and Meghan could commune with the dinosaurs in private."

The two also bought their first Christmas tree together last year, proving that shopping is an activity they both enjoy. This relationship clearly has legs, and royal couples: they're just like us!
