Amazon will release Hugh Hefner docuseries 'American Playboy'
If you ever wanted to spend time in Hugh Hefner's mansion without going to any of the parties, Amazon is here for you. The streaming service has green-lit a 13-episode docuseries about Hefner's life that will draw from the more than 17,000 hours of footage and 2,600 scrapbooks in his archives — yes, like Kim Kardashian, Hefner has it all on tape. American Playboy: The Hugh Hefner Story will cover everything from the launch of Playboy in 1953 through the next six decades of Hefner's career. It'll premiere next year.
