5 things we learned about Marvel's 'Defenders' and 'Iron Fist' from teasers
Teasers for "Iron Fist" and "The Defenders" dropped at San Diego Comic-Con on Thursday and gave us plenty to digest before both shows premiere.
We learned about the updated plot of "Iron Fist," know that a major "Daredevil" character will pop up in "The Defenders," and that our four Netflix heroes will be facing off against a familiar foe.

Stick is in "The Defenders"
At the end of "The Defenders" teaser, we clearly hear Stick (Scott Glenn) say, "You think the four of you can save New York? You can't even save yourselves." The blind martial artist has previously appeared in both seasons of "Daredevil," but this is the first official confirmation that he will appear elsewhere in the Marvel Netflix universe.
Both shows will drop in 2017
While we have known for a while that "Iron Fist" was due out in 2017, the end of "The Defenders" teaser confirmed that the miniseries crossover would also drop next year. Unfortunately, that probably means you shouldn't expect a new season of "Jessica Jones" or "Daredevil" until 2018.

Fight against The Hand?
The Hand, an evil group of mystical ninjas, was the primary antagonist of "Daredevil" Season 2. While it seemed like Daredevil (Charlie Cox) and Elektra (Elodie Young) were able to stop them temporarily, we don't think the ancient order is down and out just yet.
At the end of "The Defenders" teaser, we see the shape of a black hand with the word "Defend" written across the palm. This could very well indicate that the group will return to wreak havoc on New York once more.
Iron Fist gets locked up
In the "Iron Fist" teaser, we learn that Danny Rand (Finn Jones) survives a plane crash as a child and is taken in by a mysterious group of monks. When he returns to New York as an adult, clearly not everyone is convinced his time away didn't do some damage.
We see Rand restrained in a mental hospital struggling against his bonds. Shortly thereafter, we also see him punch his way through a brick wall, possibly in an escape.

"Luke Cage" will be the "Wu-Tangification of the Marvel Universe"
OK, this isn't part of "Iron Fist" or "The Defenders" technically, but it still is really cool. In the "Luke Cage" trailer, we see Cage tear his way through an apartment building and a hail of bullets while the ODB song "Shimmy Shimmy Ya" plays in the background.
During the show's Comic-Con panel, showrunner Cheo Hodari Coker referred to the upcoming show as "the Wu-Tangification of the Marvel Universe."
