Pika-rude: News anchor walks through meteorologist's live shot while playing Pokemon Go

The weather in Florida will be sunny with a chance of Pikachu.

The distraction brought on by some users of Pokemon Go has taken a new turn after a meteorologist giving a weather update was interrupted when an anchor walked in his shot playing the game.

Meteorologist Bobby Deskins was giving the Monday weather report at 10News WTSP when anchor Allison Kropff causally walked in front of the camera, unaware of her surroundings and interrupted her colleague during the forecast.

The shocked Deskins said: "She's looking for Pokemon! You guys have got to be careful with these phones and this Pokemon!"

The new Pokémon Go app on your phone or mobile device uses a mapping feature, like Google Maps, to track your whereabouts. As you move around, Pokemon characters pop up along the way.

The goal of the game is to collect as many characters as possible. The player then uses the captured characters to wage war against other players.

Safety concerns have prompted Nintendo, the creator of Pokémon Go, to issue a warning: "We encourage all people playing Pokémon Go to be aware of their surroundings and to play with friends when going to new or unfamiliar places."
