Eric Stonestreet Talks 'Modern Family': 'I Didn't Think Twice About Playing a Gay Character'

Eric Stonestreet has won two Emmy awards for his portrayal of Cameron Tucker on the hit show, Modern Family, but landing the role was a circuitous journey. He recounts the initial rejection he faced during casting auditions and opens up about the impact the role he fought so hard to win has had on his career as well as the audiences it's come to inspire.

"My dream was to be on a TV show. My dream was to make a living as an actor," says Stonestreet. "I never encompassed into that dream to have an ability to impact people."
