Mariah Carey, Nick Cannon Sell LA Home in Wake of Split

Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey Just Sold Their $9 Million Bel-Air Mansion

By Catherine Sherman

Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon listed their Bel-Air home in Los Angeles a year ago. They have split up now and just sold it for $9 million to a doctor
and his wife relocating from the East Coast.

Ardavan Mofid of Coldwell Banker, who represented the buyers, said the home "has history and mystery to it" -- including having once belonged to Farrah Fawcett.

"The house invites you inside, it's very warm and has a lot of life and love in it," Mofid said. "And the view is unbelievable: On a clear day, you can see all the way to Laguna Beach."

The most recent listing agent is Paul Czako of Gussman Czako Estates.

The seven-bedroom, nine-bath Bel-Air home has a double-gated entrance with room to park more than 20 cars and space to accommodate hundreds of guests. The home is an eclectic mix of styles with a Moroccan-style room -- where Cannon reportedly proposed -- a formal living room and grand "Aspen" room reminiscent of a high-end ski resort. The property features views of Stone Canyon Reservoir, downtown L.A. and beyond. An indoor basketball court is one of the home's luxurious amenities.

The former couple apparently were ready to be rid of the house, selling it for far less than the $12.995 million it was listed at last year. They still made a nice profit: According to property records, they purchased the home under a trust in 2009 for $6.795 million.
