What's in store for ArcheAge in 2015?

After ArcheAge's big launch, controversy, and eventual settling down into its own niche, folks may be wondering where the game is headed in 2015. Good thing that we sat down with Trion's Mervin Lee Kwai, Producer on ArcheAge to chat about precisely that...

MMORPG.com: Let's talk about what the Trion and XL teams have been working on most since launch. I know there were some bumpy roads, but how have the fights against hackers and the like been going?

Mervin Lee Kwai: It's been an interesting time, and we're happy to be getting these bad actors out of ArcheAge! We've build up an extensive suite of automated and responsive tools that allow us to detect and ban hackers and botters. With the tools we have, thousands of bad actors are getting banned every day. Over the last few months, we've been tweaking our tools to add in more details to help us better identify the bad actors. At the same time, XLGAMES has been adding additional logging, and working with us to make changes in the game to prevent bad actors from being able to do bad things in the first place. It's really important to us that players are not impacted by hackers and botters, and we're continuing to improve our tools and processes to make that happen.

MMORPG.com: What about the inflation issue? I understand you're going to introduce alternative drop methods. Can you elaborate?
