Lafayette Theater Shooting: 911 Calls, New Video of Shooter Released

Amy Schumer has responded to an open letter about the Lafayette theater shooting in which a gunman killed two women before turning the gun on himself during a screening of "Trainwreck."

"Don't worry I'm on it. You'll see," the "Trainwreck" star and writer tweeted Saturday in response to the letter posted by Sarah Clements, who said her mom was a survivor of the Sandy Hook school shooting in 2012.

In the letter, Clements calls on Schumer to speak out against gun violence and "demand change."

"You are our generation's epitome of what it means to be a strong, powerful, self-aware champion for the experiences and truths of being a woman and an American today," Clements posted to Medium by Sarah Clements.

She went on to write, "I know deep down that the Tweet you sent after the shooting was not all that you've got. And we need your voice in this movement. We need your help."

Clements' letter initially misspelled the name of Lafayette shooting victim Mayci Breaux, who was killed along with Jillian Johnson.

Schumer responded on Twitter and corrected Clements' misspelling. "Her name was Mayci, not Marci and I think about her and Jillian everyday. Don't worry I'm on it. You'll see."

Shortly after news of the tragedy spread, Schumer tweeted, "My heart is broken and all my thoughts and prayers are with everyone in Louisiana."
