Renee Zellweger Sells Hamptons House for Above Asking Price
The Post says the Zellweger's manse on 30 Egypt Lane commanded way more than $4.45 million, the listing price when the house hit the market about a month ago. The actress hid her ownership, filing documents saying the owner was photog-pal Bruce Weber, the Post reports. But when word spread that Zellweger was the true owner, a bidding war ensued that spiked the price, according to the Post.
The renovated farmhouse is about 2,000 square feet and boasts four bedrooms, four baths, and a heated pool. Zellweger reportedly bought the house for $2.15 million in 2003.
The new owners are Jeffrey Geller, an orthopedic surgeon, and Leigh Geller, a former assistant district attorney for Manhattan, the Post says.
