Who is Batman without Robin? Who is Sherlock without Watson? Although sidekicks may not have the center stage, they are not any less valuable than the heroes themselves (if not heroes in their own right). Providing the protagonist with a helping hand, and providing us readers with character dynamics and some comic relief-- the importance of the sidekick should not be overlooked.
