His motto is "Go big, or go home." So when "Million Dollar Listing New York" star Ryan Serhant proposed marriage this week, he did it HUGE! -- closing down Times Square to ask girlfriend Emilia Bechrakis to be his wife.

"Yesterday morning I shut down Times Square and a little boy from Texas (me) proposed to a little girl from Greece (Emilia) in this crazy city called New York," Serhant, 30, posted on his Facebook page. "I need to say thank you to the the [sic] help of 50 NYPD officers, the Mayor's office, and the Times Square Alliance. We had the heart of this city completely to ourselves."

Here's the entry from Serhant's Facebook page:

Naturally, the proposal was filmed by a Bravo crew for the upcoming fourth season of the real estate reality show.

Fans of the show know that Serhant and Bechrakis, 29, have been central to the show's recent plot. Could he commit? Does she want him to? Would love finally find the real estate shark?

Apparently, yes.

Serhant, also a sometimes actor, used his contacts with the mayor's office and the Times Square Alliance to shut down Times Square for an hour at 7 a.m. Sunday.

Emilia was unsuspecting and delighted, according to The Dish account. Oh, and she said yes.

This isn't the first time Serhant has shut down a New York City treasure in order to win his lady love. In a previous episode, he shut down part of Central Park to hustle (as in the dance) his way into her heart.
