The new characters of Mortal Kombat X

Although Mortal Kombat X isn't set to come out until April 15, 2015... we can't help but speculate about the new playable characters. NetherRealm Studios has revealed that MKX will have more new characters than any previous Mortal Kombat game. With 4 already announced, we're interested to see just how all these new characters will shake up gameplay.


D'Vorah

D'Vorah fights with the help of various insects, and while it's a small stretch, this is closer to Reptile than any other character from the previous game.To find out more about just who D'Vorah is, click here.



Ferra/Torr

Ferra/Torr is not only one of the more unique characters in Mortal Kombat X, the pair do not seem to be proper replacements for any existing characters.To find out more about just who Ferra and Torr are, click here.

Cassie Cage

As the daughter of Johnny Cage and Sonya Blade, it seems likely that NetherRealm intends to replace one if not both classic characters. To find out more about just who Cassie Cage is, click here.



Kotal Kahn

While at first glance it seems obvious that Kotal Kahn is somehow related to Shao Kahn, the classic boss character hasn't been playable in many MK titles and aside from the fact that he uses a weapon in the War God fighting style, the resemblance is limited.
