5 cool reasons The Crew is like no other racing game!

Updated

For someone who who normally isn't into racing games, I found myself easily getting into The Crew. Racing with friends was fun as it should be, but I really enjoyed the group takedown missions. I was also completely captivated by the American landscape. Did you know New York City in this game is just as large as Liberty City in Grand Theft Auto IV: Liberty City? That's amazing and definitely deserves the MMO title, even for a car game.

Creative Directer Julian Gerighty breaks down everything you can expect from this new "racing game" from Ubisoft that dares to be different in this interview with Shacknews.

"Racing game" is a title that really doesn't accurately describe The Crew. Although it is true that you race and drive in the game, there's an element of character creation (the character being your car) and open world exploration that has yet to be done in any other racing games, making this "racing game" feel almost like and MMO.

Still not convinced? Prima Games is here with a list of 5 exciting reasons to play the crew:

1. Her Name is Eleanor

Almost everyone has a dream car that is well beyond their price range, and driving it might only be possible in digital form. With The Crew, real life manufactures and vehicles are included for players to experience. Whether it's the Lamborghini Aventador or the 1967 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500, gamers will be able to get behind the wheel of some of history's most iconic rides.

2. Pimp My Ride

Not only will there be a batch of real life vehicles and manufactures to choose from, but The Crew will also feature up to six different Tuning Specs to really make a vehicle your own. Players can opt to go with a blank canvas in the form of the Full Stock version, or the ridiculously powerful Performance specifications. Either way, there's enough to choose from that even Jay Leno would be impressed.
