Boss battles? In a Madden game?

Even though it is the undisputed king of the grid iron, EA is always searching for ways to improve on it's legacy. This year's Madden is looking to be a different breed of football game.

As always there is a presentation overhaul, but the focus is more on the gameplay and introducing new features. One of the more noticeable new features are "boss battles" in a football game.

While the term "boss battles" conjures up images of the UFO fight from Zombies Ate My Neighbors or getting ready to fight Charlie McDdonald in Santa Destroy Stadium, I assure you it's all football related. However the thought of taking on two 50 foot tall John Madden or a Pat Summerall mecha is intriguing.
