Swamp Attack is a combination of tower defense and Plants vs. Zombies-style gameplay, set in a swamp. You play a backwoods bumpkin trying to defend his precious home from invaders, which range from raccoons paddling on dynamite to armored turtles to pesky UFO's that steal all your power-ups. It's up to you to use an arsenal of weapons to fend them off, so you can protect your home-sweet-home.

Here are some tips that'll help you defend the old homestead.

How do I play Swamp Attack?

Your character sits at a stationary point on the left side of the screen while you tap targets that come from the right. Your weapons are usually effective, but they require reloading, so you'll want to make sure you time your shots properly.

In addition, you'll have access to secondary power-ups, including Molotov cocktails and dynamite sticks, which are most effective against large group of enemies. You'll need to draw your finger from the selected power-up to the place you want to throw it, and then watch the effects it leaves. For the record, the Molotov is your best bet, as it can injure multiple enemies at once.

How do I unlock new weapons in Swamp Attack?

All you need to do is earn a good amount of coins and then pay a visit to the store. There are a variety available, which you can purchase and upgrade over the course of the game.
The best weapon we've discovered in Swamp Attack is easily the flamethrower. Not only is it sufficient for hitting enemies from a distance, but it's also quite powerful. The only downside is that it loses juice rather quickly, so you'll need to make sure it's properly refilled. Don't forget to upgrade it as well, so you can expand its attacks both in the water and in the air.

What happens if a UFO steals my power-ups in Swamp Attack?

Those jerk aliens will do that often, but don't worry. When the UFO appears, simply shoot it, and your precious power-up will reappear. Tap it to add the power-up back to your collection. Don't waste bullets, though - make sure incoming enemies are taken care of before you concentrate on it, if you can.

How do I collect bonus goodies in Swamp Attack?

During each wave, you'll see rubber ducks and gifts appear in the water. Tap them quickly to reveal coins and power-ups that you can collect, and add to your overall collection. Be careful, though - if you tap the space around them instead of directly, you'll accidentally shoot your weapon and have to reload.

How do I reload my weapon in Swamp Attack?

Stop shooting for a second, and your character will automatically reload. It's a good process for keeping your weapon locked and loaded.

I'm starting with the shotgun in Swamp Attack. Any advice on how to make its shots count?
There are two things to keep in mind. Number one, the shotgun is a fairly good spread weapon, so aiming for two enemies at once is actually a great tactic, as you can chip away energy on both with one shot. Tap the space between them.

Second, try to time your shots for when enemies are closest to you. This makes your hits more critical as they get closer, though if they get too close, you might get overrun. Time your shots and don't forget to use power-ups!

Do I need to pay for anything in Swamp Attack?

Sadly, the free-to-play game does require you to plunk down some cash if you wish to keep playing. There's an option to purchase coins, ranging from $0.99 to $24.99, depending if you want to unlock all the weapons or not; and you'll need to wait for your energy to refill (it uses one shotgun shell per round) for an hour or so, or pay for potions. You'll start out with two, but you can buy more for anywhere from $0.99 for 10 to $3.99 for 100.

It's not a wallet breaker by any means, compared to other F2P games, but you've been warned - if you become addicted, you might pay a few bucks to continue.
