Midtown Oklahoma City's 54-room, one-suite Ambassador Hotel Oklahoma City (pictured at top) opened March 19 in the Osler Building. Catering to "business and leisure guests" (so, everybody), the hotel's features include bathrooms with marble-tiled showers and lighted make-up mirrors, plush robes, refrigerators, Keurig coffee station, free bottled water and included WiFi. Constructed in 1929, the building's Art Deco design has been preserved and augmented with modern and traditional furnishings. Rates start at around $189.
New York City, New York: The Be Hotel
HotelChatter reports that the Be Hotel opened last week in Chinatown. Details about this self-proclaimed cool, sleek and intimate property are sparse, but it ambitiously claims to be "redefining Chinatown." According to Hotel Chatter, rates start at around $109.
Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo: Kempinski Hotel Fleuve Congo Kinshasa
Located in the Gombe district, the Kempinski Hotel Fleuve Congo Kinshasa's 237 rooms and suites feature panoramic views of the city, the Congo River and the capital of the neighboring Congo, Brazzaville. Of, if you'd prefer to look at a cocktail, the hotel also has four bars (and three restaurants). The luxury hotel, which opened March 1, has central air conditioning with separate controls in each room. Rooms also feature 42-inch LED TV with 30 international channels, complimentary coffee and tea, and WiFi. Outdoors, there are two tennis courts, an outdoor pool, gardens and an 18-hole golf course (a five-minute drive). Rates start at around $290.
