Whenever Warren Buffett and Berkshire Hathaway disclose their latest stock picks, it is always headlining news, but should individual investors even care about Berkshire Hataway's portfolio and Buffett's latest buys? And more importantly, should they be buying what he's buying?

In the most recent quarter, Buffett and team added to their positions in ExxonMobil, U.S. Bancorp, and DaVita HealthCare Partners. All of these companies are huge multinational companies - a trend we've seen at Berkshire Hathaway in recent years. As Berkshire's portfolio has grown in size, Buffett's investment opportunities capable of moving the overall needle have dwindled.
