Atwood Oceanics is well positioned to outperform the offshore drilling market as the company continues to enhance its fleet of jackup and floater vessels. In addition to commanding industry-leading dayrates and strong utilization rates, Atwood employs a conservative approach of growing its business organically. With two new drill ships coming online next year, Atwood should find itself in an enviable position of deciding to either increase its growth rate, or return excess free cash flow to shareholders in 2015.
