The 1 Thing That Could Derail Warren Buffett's Empire
In this special interview segment from Where the Money, Motley Fool financial analyst Matt Koppenheffer sits down with the Fool's Million-Dollar Portfolio lead advisor Ron Gross, to discuss Berkshire Hathaway , Markel , and two more stocks Ron's keeping an eye on today.
Ron dives into the potential risks facing Berkshire today, and says that while it is a well-diversified conglomerate which limits its exposure to business risks, there are regulatory risks that could face some of the businesses under the Berkshire umbrella, though he doesn't see those as being a big concern at the moment.
He cites a large imprudent acquisition as being one of the only things that could derail his love for Berkshire today, and says that the question of who will succeed Buffett is an important one, he thinks both Buffett and the company have done much to prepare for that eventuality, and he sees the company as being a great one for many years to come.
Ron also looks at Markel, and why the double-edged sword of a rising interest rate environment will hold more good news for the company than bad, and he closes by telling investors why PotashCorp and Titan International are two companies he has as interesting stocks on his radar today.
