What's So Great About Curved Displays?

The International CES is the world's largest consumer electronics show, and a showcase each year for the biggest new things in consumer tech. This year, The Motley Fool's Rex Moore caught up with one of the world's leading tech columnists at the show, David Pogue of Yahoo Tech, to get a breakdown of the hottest new trends in electronics that could soon be hitting the market.

This year, LG, Samsung, and Sony all showed off curved screen Ultra HD TVs. Apple is also rumored to be working on a curved glass iPhone. Overseas, Samsung is already producing the Galaxy Round, and LG already produces its G Flex. But with so many companies working on this, are they competing for something customers will love, or is this fad destined to fizzle out as quickly as 3-D TV?
