Pentagon Announces $600 Million in Defense Contracts Friday
The Department of Defense awarded 10 defense contracts worth $599.7 million in combined value Friday. Among the publicly traded companies winning contracts:
General Dynamics was awarded a $48 million contract modification funding continued work through Feb. 28, 2015 as the project manager for the "training devices live training transformation product line" for the U.S. Army.
Lockheed Martin was awarded a $20.6 million contract modification to perform risk reduction and technical maturity work for DARPA on the Long Range Anti-Ship Missile program. Lockheed should complete its work on this phase of the project by Dec. 31, 2014.
United Technologies subsidiary Goodrich won a $7.6 million cost contract to perform engineering design services and fabrication of a full scale prototype submarine rotor component under the DAPA Hybrid Demonstration program. This work should wrap up by April 15, 2015.
