Rockwell Collins Wins $23 Million in Defense Contracts

After a long holiday weekend, the Department of Defense finally got back to work Wednesday, awarding 19 separate defense contracts worth $449.3 million in combined value. Defense contractor Rockwell Collins won two of them:

  • A $14.7 million sole-source, partial-foreign military sales firm-fixed-price contract to supply spare parts for the A/24A-56 joint helmet mounted cueing system used by pilots of F-15, F-16, and F/A-18 fighter jets operated by the U.S. armed forces, and by the militaries of Canada, Chile, Iraq, Pakistan, Portugal, and Thailand as well.

  • An $8 million option exercise under a contract to supply the U.S. Navy with dozens of AN/ARC-210(V) Electronic Radios and ancillary equipment for a variety of aircraft. This contract is due for completion in November.
