Coal exportation has been going on for years, and natural gas export approvals picked up steam in 2013. Now, oil producers want in on the international action as well. Because of the spread between domestic and international prices, companies like ConocoPhillips and ExxonMobil have begun pushing to move away from the way we have handled oil exports since the 1970's.
