Tech's Best CEO in 2013: Facebook's Mark Zuckerberg
Looking back at 2013, Fool contributor Daniel Sparks identified three CEOs in the tech sector he thought did the most notable job in 2013. He identified the third best as Yahoo!'s Marrissa Mayer and the second best as Apple's Tim Cook. Who was the best CEO in tech this year? Facebook's Mark Zuckerberg, Daniel says.
Why? Investors have plenty of reasons to have far greater confidence in Facebook today than they did one year ago. One year ago, the company hadn't reported any mobile advertising revenue. This was a big problem, since more than half of Facebook's monthly active users came from mobile. Analysts wondered: Could Facebook meaningfully monetize mobile? Zuckerberg blew everyone's expectations away by not only meaningfully monetizing mobile, but by doing it quickly. Today, half of the company's revenue comes from mobile.
