And Gamespot's Overall Game of the Year Is...

The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds! Congratulations to Nintendo, who has had a bit of a rough year due to the Wii's abysmal performance (but seems to be excelling on handheld devices).

Gamespot's decision comes as a bit of a surprise, considering all the high-tech, graphics-loaded games that launched on bigger consoles (Assassin's Creed, Bioshock: Infinite, and Grand Theft Auto come to mind).

But Gamespot makes a good point: it's the best Zelda game the franchise has seen in decades, and "by removing any tutorial shackles, you're set loose in a bustling world with only your own curiosity to guide you."
