As acting director of the FHFA, the conservator for Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, Ed DeMarco has made several drastic changes to the way the two entities operate. The latest proposal from the FHFA floats the idea of reducing loan limits for mortgages eligible for purchase by the GSEs.
