Oculus Rift Scores $75 Million in Investor Funds

Updated

MegaGames reports that Oculus CR, the company behind "next-gen virtual reality" product Oculus Rift, has scored $75 million in investor funds. This all comes on top of the $16 million the company raised earlier this year, and stems mostly from investment firm Andreessen Horowitz.

The Oculus Rift - a much-anticipated virtual reality headset that aims to minimize lag and maximize eye movement tracking - initially piqued investors' interest with a Kickstarter campaign last September. The developers set a $250,000 goal that was surpassed by over 2 million dollars, paving the way for the fledgling company's success.
