Remembering the PlayStation 1

Today, in honor of the PS4's record-breaking sales (and throwback Thursday!) we're taking a look back at the console that started it all: the PlayStation 1.

Released in 1994, the PS1 brought us classic games like Twisted Metal, Tekken 2, Resident Evil, Tomb Raider, and the first game of many in the Gran Turismo series. Take a look at the video below from G4 that delves into the console's unique features, advertising success, and huge sales (it eventually sold over 100 million units, making it the best selling console of its time - until the PS2 came along).
