Did the Wii U Fail?

With the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One making record-breaking sales worldwide, it's easy to get caught up in the competition between Sony and Microsoft. But what about Nintendo, and its flagship console, the Wii U?

In this video, Gamespot takes a look at the Wii U and asks a very important question: did it fail? Gamer Danny O'Dwyer explains, "Everyone loved the first [Wii]. It was friendly, easy to use, good with kids... but this new Wii is weird and confusing. The mass market isn't sure what it is and the enthusiast gamers are still waiting for that killer hit, and that's worrying," especially considering the hit new Mario game. Take a look:

As Danny points out, Nintendo will be fine as a company - it's too big to let a failed console take it down - but it seems like with the release of the PS4 and Xbox 1, the Wii U missed its window. Wii U owners and fans: what do you make of all this? Let us know in the comments.
