In today's Consumer Countdown, consumer goods analysts Michael Finarelli and Sean O'Reilly join host Mark Reeth to discuss all the biggest news in their sector from the past few days.

Right now there's no bigger story in retail than Black Friday, the official beginning of the Christmas shopping season. But this year several retailers tried to jump-start sales by opening their doors earlier than ever; Macy's , J.C.Penney , and Kohl's all opened at 8 p.m. on Thanksgiving, while Wal-Mart opened at 6 p.m. But will these early openings be enough to boost these companies' bottom lines?
