Fox Needs Another Wolverine Movie

In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, actor Hugh Jackman said he'd "love" to play Wolverine in another film. Twenty-First Century Fox should sign him to do just that, Fool contributor Tim Beyers says in the following video.

Specifically, Jackman told EW that he loves the character but wouldn't want to do a third solo film "until we have a compelling reason to do another one." Fair enough. The story has to be sound. And given Fox's Marvel ambitions, a new film would have to fit in the broader universe the studio is creating with help from consultant Mark Millar, whose comic book credentials include creating Kick-Ass with artist John Romita Jr.

Still, the numbers say Fox has good reason to start work on a deal. The Wolverine earned $414.8 million worldwide on a $120 production budget, according to Box Office Mojo. A strong performance that likely earned Fox a small profit after accounting for marketing, prints, and advertising, Tim says.

Now it's your turn to weigh in. Should Fox bring back Jackman for an eighth try at playing Wolverine? Please watch the video to get Tim's full take and then leave a comment to let us know where you stand.
