A Justice League Film May Be Coming Sooner Than You Think

DC Entertainment's next big movie may be tentatively titled Batman vs. Superman but signs point to Time Warner using the project as a backdoor entry to a Justice League film, Fool contributor Tim Beyers says in the following video.

What we know so far is that director Zack Snyder plans to introduce Lex Luthor as Superman's antagonist, a man who believes that the hero's perfection isn't a strength but rather a weakness. How Ben Affleck's Batman fits into the picture isn't entirely clear at this point, but those who've seen Snyder's design for his batsuit -- including Comic Book Men host Kevin Smith -- appear to be thrilled with the direction.

Where this gets interesting for both fans and investors, Tim says, is in what the rumor mill has to say about the project. Comic Book Movie cites a source that says both the Flash and Wonder Woman will appear in the film in some form. Variety has since reported that three actresses have tested to play a "tall, brunette, athletic and exotic" character. Exactly what you'd demand if you were casting Wonder Woman.

CBM adds that executives want actor Grant Gustin to play the Flash cameo, though the studio reserves the right to change if Gustin fails to wow audiences in upcoming appearances in Arrow and a Flash TV series pilot. The message? Warner will do whatever it must to accelerate development of The Justice League into a bankable film franchise, Tim says.
