Does This Mean Tesla Will Crush Earnings Estimates?
Sales of Tesla Motors' highly regarded Model S may be tracking even better than expected, Fool contributor Tim Beyers says in the following video.
According to new research from auto tracker Edmunds, the Model S is the top-selling car in eight of America's 25 richest zip codes. Not entirely surprising when you consider that Tesla is a premium brand, Tim says.
Yet it's also impressive when you consider that these same zip codes -- all eight are located in Tesla's home state of California -- have historically been well-served by BMW, Mercedes, and other luxury brands. The message? Just as Apple is for computer and device shoppers, Tesla has become a leading aspirational brand among car buyers.
Will that translate to higher earnings and guidance when Tesla reports third-quarter financial results tomorrow? Tim answers this question and more in the video. Please watch now and leave a comment to let us know where you stand.
