The winners from the specialty chemical sector appear to be those most willing to change. A common theme that existed among those companies in which investors did the most buying after reporting earnings, were acquisitions and spin-offs. Huntsman even blended the two together. Ecolab was a big winner as its acquisition of Champion continues to fold in seamlessly with its existing business and expanding the company's reach into the energy industry.
