In today's episode of Tech Teardown, Erin Kennedy discusses the latest developments in the tech sector with Evan Niu, CFA, our tech and telecom bureau chief.

Earnings season is in full swing, as are the share prices of some of the companies reporting. LinkedIn disappointed investors with fears of growth deceleration, despite healthy revenue growth in the previous quarter. Sprint continues to lose subscribers, but it could be worse. Cirrus Logic already warned that gross margins could decline in the long- erm, yet investors are acting surprised again. Baidu can see that the market is going mobile, and it's getting ahead of that trend.


Apple's iPad Air launches on Friday, and the Mac maker will have a busy weekend. Reviews are starting to show up around the web, and everyone loves the new device. Meanwhile, the smaller version that's getting a Retina display might be scarce thanks to one key supplier.
