T-Mobile Shakes Things Up -- Again

T-Mobile continues to be a disruptive force in the carrier industry. Their latest offer, 200MB of free data for life for tablet users is designed to take on the majors: Verizon , AT&T , and Sprint . What should investors in Verizon, AT&T, and Sprint know about T-Mobile's deal and pricing strategy?

Also, T-Mobile also reported subscriber growth in the quarter ending in August. T-Mobile added a net 1.1 million new customers with the majority of those -- nearly 700,000 -- post-paid customers. This compares favorably to last year's quarter in which T-Mobile actually lost nearly 600,000 subscribers.

However, the company continues to innovate with free data and creative financing plans. Will dividend monsters Verizon and AT&T step up and match this offer?

Finally, what does this mean for tablet models? Will this encourage investors to pay extra for cellular-enabled tablets?

In this segment of Tech Teardown, Erin Kennedy discusses T-Mobile with Jamal Carnette and Evan Niu, CFA.
