Coke Pours a Fresh Dividend

There's plenty of fizz in Coca-Cola's financials. The soft-drink giant today declared a common stock dividend of $0.28 per share, to be paid on December 16 to shareholders of record as of December 2. That amount matches each of its three preceding distributions, the most recent of which was handed out at the beginning of this month. Prior to that, Coke paid $0.255 per share.

In the press release announcing the news, the company pointed out that its dividend increase earlier this year marked the 51st year in a row it has enacted a raise.

The just-declared dividend annualizes to $1.12 per share. That yields 2.9% at Coke's most recent closing stock price of $38.55.
