What's Apple Going to "Cover" Next Tuesday?

Investors are now less than a week away from Apple's special event. The company's tag line is that it still has "a lot to cover." The Mac maker likes to use its marketing tag lines to tease what it might possibly have in store. It certainly has a lot of products that need to be updated this year, including the Mac Pro, MacBook Pros, and likely an Apple TV refresh.

However, iPads will be the feature presentation. There's been some recent speculation that perhaps Apple should launch a hardware keyboard cover, similar to its current Smart Cover. That would allow it to address the growing market for convertible form factors with minimal effort. Apple has filed various patents around this idea in the past, so the company has definitely looked into it at some point. It remains to be seen whether or not it will implement it, though.
