Virtusa Wins 2013 Silver Stevie Award for Human Resource Department of the Year in 10th Annual International Business Awards

Company honored for second consecutive year for driving HR excellence on a global scale

This is the second consecutive year that Virtusa has won this award. This year, more than 3,300 nominations from organizations in more than 50 nations and territories were submitted. The International Business Awards are considered the world's premier business awards program.

Virtusa was one of just two organizations honored with a Silver Stevie for 'Human Resource Department of the Year' in this year's International Business Awards. The company was awarded for developing and implementing innovative, global HR practices aimed at recruiting and retaining team members and ensuring they reach their full potential at Virtusa, both personally and professionally. Named a "Millennial Enterprise," Virtusa was recognized for creating unique development strategies and programs, particularly catered toward Millennials, who make up 86 percent of Virtusa's workforce. The company was honored for creating a proprietary internal social business platform, V+, which it uses to improve internal engagement and collaboration. As a part of its innovative HR program, Virtusa regularly solicits feedback from junior and senior team members, holds interactive "YamJam" sessions using Yammer and leverages gamification, rewarding team members for their accomplishments.
