Garanti Teknoloji Bank Simplifies Mainframe Management with CA Chorus Software Manager
Product Installations Now Take Minutes Instead of Hours
NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- CA Technologies (NAS: CA) today announced that Garanti Teknoloji (GT), a subsidiary of Garanti Bank, Turkey's second largest private bank, has simplified mainframe operations by deploying CA Chorus™ Software Manager (CA CSM).
With CA CSM, GT completes product installations in a matter of minutes rather than hours, without specialist mainframe staff. In addition to improving efficiency, CA CSM has helped GT reduce risk and improve quality of service.
By helping GT's staff spend far less time on routine tasks, CA CSM enables system administrators to focus on new opportunities that meet the rapidly evolving needs of the business. And because CA CSM uses a modernized, intuitive Web-based user interface, staff members who are new to the mainframe can quickly become productive.
GT relies on an Internet banking platform that provides services to nearly 1.3 million customers. "Poor mainframe management could result in unplanned downtime, impacting customer loyalty," said Adnan Can, GT principal mainframe specialist. "We were reliant on manual processes to maintain and install products. With a lack of experienced mainframe specialists, we needed to streamline mainframe operations as much as possible."
