Carnival Declares Fresh Dividend

The ship is soon to sail on Carnival's latest dividend. The cruise operator has declared a quarterly distribution of $0.25 per share for both its common stock and its American Depositary Shares, to be paid on Dec. 13 to holders of record as of Nov. 22. That amount matches all of the firm's previous regular disbursements stretching back to March 2011. Prior to that, Carnival handed out $0.10 per share.

The company also paid a $0.50 per share special dividend at the end of December last year.

Holders of the firm's U.K.-listed shares receive their distribution in British pounds by default. They can opt to be paid in U.S. dollars instead.

The just-declared dividend annualizes to an even $1.00 per share. That yields 3.1% at Carnival's current stock price of $32.25.
