Whirlpool Declares Fresh Dividend

Whirlpool is retrieving another shareholder payout from the dryer. The company has declared a quarterly common stock dividend of $0.625 per share, to be dispensed on Dec. 15 to shareholders of record as of Nov. 15. That amount matches both of the company's two preceding distributions, the most recent of which was paid in September. Before that, Whirlpool was notably less generous, handing out $0.50 per share.

The company is one of the steadier and more reliable dividend payers in the white goods space. It has paid a distribution since March 1972.

The just-declared dividend annualizes to $2.50 per share. That yields 1.9% at Whirlpool's current stock price of $131.29.
