Ameren Declares Quarterly Dividend

Updated

Ameren declared its quarterly dividend today, keeping distributions steady at $0.40 per share. The utility will dole out its dividend on December 31 to shareholders of record on December 11.

As a relatively cash-steady company, Ameren has rewarded income investors with dividends since February 1998, when the utility first announced a quarterly dividend of $0.635 per share.

This latest announcement marks the ninth straight quarter of $0.40 distributions. Shareholders felt a squeeze in February 2010, when Ameren dropped its quarterly dividend from $0.635, to $0.385, but distributions have stayed relatively stable since then.
