Company Announces Successor for Next Phase of Growth

ALAMEDA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Wind River®, a world leader in embedded software for intelligent connected systems, today announced that Ken Klein has resigned as the company's president, effective immediately. The company also announced that its Board of Directors has appointed chief operating officer (COO) Barry Mainz as his successor as president. Mr. Klein will continue as a non-employee member of the Board.

As COO of Wind River, Mr. Mainz was responsible for the strategic and operational leadership of worldwide sales, alliances, customer support, field technical engineering, IT, product management, sales operations, and vertical marketing organizations. Prior to his appointment to COO, he served as vice president of worldwide customer operations at Wind River. In this role, he rapidly grew the company's corporate sales function and led investments that now contribute to an award-winning customer-centric organization.
