What Should Investors Expect From Apple Next Week?

Apple 's likely to send out invitations to its Oct. 15 event soon. The high-level expectations are product refreshes for the iPad, MacBooks, and perhaps Apple TV. However, Apple is always one for showmanship, does Apple have a possible surprise announcement at this event?

If Apple did have a surprise announcement, what could get investors excited about the company again? Would a possible deal with China Mobile , and its nearly 750 million subscribers, excite investors. In addition, is this agreement something China Mobile customers are excited over? Is Apple ready to compete with Samsung in the smartwatch arena and look to mitigate Samsung's first-mover advantage versus Apple here?

Finally, what type of upgrades are investors looking for from the Apple iPad rollout. We all know Apple has a history of destroying their best products and replacing them, but what should you look out for during this event?
